A composition for hair dye by using natural plant materials is provided to reduce side effects including skin irritation caused by chemical hair dye, and improve hair affinity, hair conditioning and dye fastness, so that the hair having an excellent color is safely obtained. The composition for hair dye comprises powder, hot water extract or alcohol extract of at least one natural plant material selected from pine tree(Pinus densiflora), Ginkgo biloba L., Eucommia ulmoides, Acorus calamus var. angustatus, Acanthopanax sessiliflorus, Japanese persimmon, Rubus coreanus, Lycium chinense, Epimedium koreanum, Perilla frutescens Britton var. crispa Decne, Saururus chinensis and Artemisia princeps var. orientalis, wherein the composition further comprises 0.5-3 wt.% of a dye and is formulated as hair dye, shampoo or hair rinse.
