The present invention provides a clothes dryer equipped with a lint filter device which satisfies both of the catching performance of lint generated accompanying clothes drying, and excellent maintainability. The lint filter device 22 equipped with a filter forming surface 40 which expands into a bag shape toward the downstream side in the air blowing direction is inserted in a filter housing chamber 55 in which air flows from a suction port 34 communicating with a drying chamber which houses clothes to an air blowing duct 27. The filter forming surface has a first filter forming section 41 and a second filter forming section 42 each coated with a filter sheet 43 in the opening section which are jointly formed into the bag shape. The second filter forming section can be separated and left open from the first filter forming section by a hinge structure. Therefore, even when the lint catching area is made larger by forming it into the bag shape, the removal of lint accumulated inside can easily be performed.
