The system utilizes the heat from hot water sent to the sewage system after being used in the shower, washbasin, or sink. The hot water flows through a heat exchanger arranged under a battery while cold water flows through an opposing coil. The heat from the hot water permeates the walls of the coil, warming up the cold water. The warm water arrives at a mixer through a conduit while the hot water from a boiler arrives at the mixer through another conduit such that water of a comfortable temperature for the user is obtained.
