A light emitting device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce resistance due to heating or load by depositing a second electrode to sides of a partition. A light emitting device includes a first electrode(220) formed on a substrate(210), and an insulation layer(230) for insulating the first electrode(220) and having an opening unit(235). A partition(240) having a groove(H) is formed on the insulation layer(230). An organic light emitting unit(250) is formed in the opening unit(235) formed in the insulation layer(230), and a second electrode(260) intersects the first electrode(220) on the organic light emitting unit(250). If the light emitting diode is a bottom emission type, the first electrode(220) is formed as a transparent electrode. If the light emitting diode is a top emission type, the second electrode(260) is a transparent electrode. The second electrode(260) is widened to the sides of the partition(240) and is separated by the groove(H) of the partition(240). |
