A letter diary service method and a system for performing the method thereof are provided to generate a letter diary which includes contents of plural text messages, and to store the letter diary in a storage which is a separate device from a mobile communication terminal, thereby efficiently managing the text messages. A text mailbox unit(402) stores plural text messages. A letter diary unit(406) generates a letter diary by combining the text messages. A menu unit(404) contains a letter diary menu. The letter diary is generated by combining the text messages as the letter diary menu is selected. The letter diary unit(406) edits the generated letter diary.
