A system and a method for sharing profit of application software installation by a computer ID are provided to collect and share a charge for application software installation/maintenance with user computer vendors by providing an information transfer system using the computer ID. A network interface(11) connects a user PC and a file server through the network. A database(13) stores the software or software information of the file server, a user PC ID extracted by an agent program installed to the user PC, user PC vendor information linked with the user PC ID, and software installation results of the user PC or the user PC vendor. A user interaction processing module(12) transmits the software or the software information of the filer server to the user PC, and transmits the user PC ID and the user PC vendor information from the user PC by linking with the agent program. A file server interaction processing module(14) receives the software or the software information from the file server. A profit sharing module(15) shares the profit to the user PC vendors according to the software installation results of the user PC or the user PC vendor.
