The mounting system for a vehicle engine (2) comprises a tie rod made up of two sections (31, 32) which are attached at their outer ends (311, 322) to the chassis (1) and engine respectively. Their inner ends are bolted together. Independent claims are included for: (A) an engine mounting method using the mounting system; and (B) vehicles with an engine mounted using the system.
