An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to optimize intake and discharge passage structures and parts for maintaining a low noise characteristic while increasing blowoff force, and easily detach a filter by installing the filter at a front part of the indoor unit. An indoor unit for an air conditioner includes a front frame(200) sucking in air through a front. A base frame(400) has discharge ports at sides and a base side, has a unit for securing a motor for driving a blower fan at a center of a front, and is combined with the front frame. A guide frame(300) is installed between the front frame and the base frame for guiding air flow. A heat exchanger(500) is installed between the front frame and the guide frame. A turbo fan(600) discharges air exchanging heat while passing through the heat exchanger, to the outside. A front panel(100) is installed in front of the front frame, having a gap with the front frame.
