LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR REPAIRING THE SAME

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a repairing method thereof are provided to drive a defect pixel with a point defect together with an adjacent normal pixel in order not to easily recognize the defect point. Gate lines(110) and data lines(120) are crossly formed on a transparent insulating substrate vertically and horizontally and define plural pixels. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) includes a gate electrode(111) extended from the gate line. The gate electrodes are arranged at the crossing portions of the gate lines and the data lines. A semiconductor layer is formed on the gate electrode. A source electrode is branched from the data line. A drain electrode is oppositely located to the source electrode by interposing the semiconductor layer. A pixel electrode(130) is connected to the drain electrode. A partial area of a repair pattern(220) is overlapped with the data line or the pixel electrode.
