CARBON FIBER-EPOXY COMPOSITE AND COATING METHODS THEREOF

A carbon fiber-epoxy composite and a coating method thereof are provided to coat the carbon fiber-epoxy composite with metal through a low-temperature spraying process without damaging base metal and to secure high-quality coating by forming a coating layer with keeping surface average roughness below 1 micrometer. The carbon fiber-epoxy composite coating method comprises the steps of: blasting the surface of a carbon fiber-epoxy composite(S10); forming a first metal coating layer on the surface(S20); and forming a second coating layer made of metal or a metal-ceramic composite, on the first coating layer, by mixing coating powder made of metal or the metal-ceramic composite, with main gas and then spraying the mixture of powder and main gas on the first coating layer, wherein the coating powder is preheated before being mixed with the main gas(S30).
