SENSORLESS CONTROL APPARATUS FOR SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR

A sensorless control apparatus for a synchronous motor is provided to reduce the vibration and noise of the synchronous motor by attenuating a current distortion due to saturation in a motor current. A sensorless control apparatus for a synchronous motor includes a circuit breaker(120), a current controller(50), and a current compensator(110). The circuit breaker removes a current distortion component from a motor current of the synchronous motor. The current controller receives difference between a current command and an output from the circuit breaker and outputs a voltage command. The current command is induced from a speed command of the synchronous motor. The current compensator extracts the current distortion component from the motor current and compensates for the voltage command by using the extracted current distortion component.
