Disclosed herein is a use of a PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) coated manufacturing vessel in the manufacture of a pharmaceutical formulation comprising a drug substance and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients wherein the drug substance is formoterol fumarate dihydrate. Also disclosed is a manufacturing vessel for the manufacture of formoterol fumarate dihydrate formulations characterised in that the vessel is coated with PFA to reduce adhesion of formoterol fumarate dihydrate.
