A headgear assembly (80) to secure a mask to a patient's head, the headgear assembly comprising: a strap assembly including a pair of front strap portions (84) and a rear strap portion (90) each of which is made of a relatively soft and flexible material and each having a foam and fabric construction. Each front strap portion is in use positioned towards the front of the patient's face and each rear strap portion is in use positioned generally round the rear of the patient's head. At least a selected portion of at least one of the front strap portions is selectively reinforced compared to the rear portion. |
