A method of refining an austenitic stainless steel containing Ti, which effectively suppresses nitrogen absorption and reoxidation by allowing AOD(argon oxygen decarburization) slag to be remained on an upper portion of molten steel contained in a ladle, thereby blocking a contact of molten steel with the atmosphere, and prevents large cohered inclusions from being produced by reducing the production amount of titanium oxide-based inclusions, is provided. In a method of refining an austenitic stainless steel containing Ti using an AOD(argon oxygen decarburization) process and a ladle refining process, the method sequentially comprises: a first step of discharging molten steel with a concentration that is 0.1 to 0.15 wt.% lower than a target silicon concentration at the end point of the AOD process; a second step of allowing an AOD slag to be remained in a ladle, and injecting fluorite into the ladle to lower a melting temperature of the AOD slag; a third step of injecting aluminum into the ladle, thereby deoxidizing molten stainless steel and reducing SiO2 in the AOD slag at the same time to form a low melting point slag on an upper portion of the ladle; and a fourth step of adding titanium into the ladle considering loss of titanium due to the slag.
|
