A method and an apparatus for removing a cast part from a die casting machine, which can perform a process of removing a cast part more simply and efficiently by utilizing a servo mechanism of the clamping device in a die casting machine employing an electric mold clamping device that is driven by a servo motor and can position a movable die plate at any position in mold opening and closing directions to stop the movable die plate, are provided. As an apparatus for removing a cast part from a die casting machine comprising a fixed die plate(11), a movable die plate(14), a mold including a fixed die(15) and a movable die(16), and an electric clamping device that moves the movable die plate and drives a mold opening and closing mechanism by a servo motor(26), the apparatus comprises: a biscuit portion as a handle portion for product removal, which is integrally formed on a cast part(29) and includes an extrusion rod(31), a driving unit(32) for extrusion, an extrusion member(33), and an extrusion plate(34), a chuck moving mechanism(40) installed at the fixed die plate to move a chuck(46) for holding the cast part 29 in two orthogonal directions, wherein the chuck moving mechanism includes a rail(41), a slider(42), a chuck horizontally driving part(43), a horizontal bar(44), and a chuck advance or retreat driving part(45), and the chuck(46), and a control device(28) including an input/output part(50), an operational control part(51), a memory part(52), a servo motor control part(53), and a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)(54).
