The invention relates to fuel burning, in particular to swirling-type furnaces and can be used for burning solid organic fuel, for example in power plants.The aim of said invention is to increase a fuel burn-out degree and to align a temperature field in a combustion chamber, thereby reducing the rate of deposit collection on the combustion chamber walls and a nitrogen oxide generation and to increase a sulfur oxide binding degree.The inventive swirling-type furnace is provided with a combustion chamber comprising walls gradually transforming into a funnel in the lower part thereof, at least one burner incorporated into the combustion chamber wall and air-supply nozzles one of which is mounted on the lower part of the funel and the other nozzle is disposed on the combustion chamber wall opposite to the burner along a vertical line and below the burner in such a way that the longitudinal axis thereof crosses the combustion chamber wall on the nozzle side. An additional nozzle can be mounted on the combustion chamber wall disposed oppositely to the burner and above it, the longitudinal axis of said additional nozzle can form an angle of 30-135° with respect to the combustion chamber wall.
