A block for river protection is provided to protect a river bed and to improve the quality of river water by cultivating aquatic plants having water purification capability safely and to protect an ecosystem by letting fishes move from the outside of a block to the center smoothly. The block(1) for river protection contains a central hole, three inward projections(2) formed to face the center from the equally divided parts of the internal wall of the hole, conic projections(3,3a) projected from the top of the equally divided parts to the bottom, a fastening ring(4a) formed to connect with a reinforcing bar(4) buried under a main block body, an aquatic plant cultivating portion(5) formed to be retreated from the top of the block with the inward projections and provided with minute holes and filled with a culture medium for cultivating aquatic plants having water purification capability, a cutting portion formed on the bottom of the projecting part of the inward projection to form a fishway. |
