A digital TV having a function of updating game contents and a game content updating method in the digital TV are provided to use flash game contents as game contents executed in the digital TV to allow a digital TV user to easily change game contents stored in the digital TV. A digital TV having a function of updating game contents includes system hardware(200), a driver(210), digital TV driving software(310), a game software module(320), a storage unit(330), and a content receiver(340). The driver drives the system hardware. The digital TV driving software includes a vector graphics based flash player(312). The game software module executes game software. The storage unit stores game contents constructed in a flash format. The content receiver receives game contents to be updated.
