IMAGE SENSOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

An image sensor is provided to reduce the incident angle of the light incident upon the lateral part of a pixel array by forming a material with a refractive index on the lateral part of the pixel array. A planarization layer is formed on a color filter. At least two staked medium layers(10) with different refractive indexes are formed on the planarization layer. The medium layer has a higher refractive index as it goes to the color filter, and the uppermost layer of the medium layer has a higher refractive index than that of an air layer.
