DUAL MOTION LINK SYSTEM FOR INCREASE OF THE PRESSURE AND VOLUM OF THE PUFFER CHAMBER IN GAS INSULATED CIRCUIT BREAKER

A dual motion link system for increasing a pressure and a volume of the puffer chamber in a gas insulated circuit breaker is provided to improve the circuit-breaking performance of a GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) by condensing SF6 gas into the puffer chamber. A GIS includes a movable member(2), a movable shaft(5), a stationary arc contactor(3), a movable arc contactor(7), and a movable main contactor(6). The movable member is movably coupled inside a cylinder(1). When the movable shaft is moved back and forth, a link member is rotated in a forward or reverse direction, such that the GIS is turned on and off. A piston(14) is arranged to increase a pressure or a volume of the puffer chamber(8) in cooperation with the link member. The movable arc contactor and the movable main contactor are contacted with the stationary arc contactor and the stationary main contactor, respectively, at an end of the movable shaft.
