摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# Stabilized organosol comprises mineral particles in organic dispersing medium containing amphiphilic polymers as stabilizing agents of the dispersion, where the polymers comprises a hydrophobic polymer chain (T) having affinity for the medium, a non-polymer terminal group (A) of the hydrophobic polymer chain and another group (R) to develop interactions with surface of the mineral particles. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are included for: (1) a process of preparing the dispersion comprising contacting an aqueous suspension of the mineral particles with the hydrophobic organic medium in the presence of T to obtain an aqueous phase particles transfer towards the hydrophobic medium in the form of an organic suspension stabilized by polymers; and (2) a dispersible composition in organic medium to form a mineral particle dispersion obtained by elimination, particular by evaporation of the organic medium present in the dispersion. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The organosol is useful to prepare solvented compositions, particularly paint, transparent coating or cosmetic compositions (claimed), particularly decorative or industrial paint and varnish composition. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The organosol has a catalytic property that is applicable for catalytic reactions in solvent medium (claimed). The organosol is stable, not very viscous i.e., having a good fluidity and is easy to handle. #CMT#INORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The mineral particles contain a mineral oxide, preferably silica, cerium oxide, titanium dioxide, zirconium oxide, aluminum oxide and/or ferric oxide, preferably silica or cerium oxide. The mineral particles are present at 0.1-15 wt.%. The particles have a size of 1-70 nm without taking into account of the organic species layer that surrounds the particles. The particles are present at 1-100 g/l e.g. 2-75 g/l. The particles dispersed in the initial aqueous suspension have an average hydrodynamic diameter of 1-200 nm. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# The organic dispersing medium is a polar medium. B1 : terminal group; A1, A2 : bond or divalent group, generally a non polymer group, preferably -CH2-; A3 : trivalent atom or group; R1-R3 : H or 1-20C alkyl; T : homopolymer block or hydrophobic statistical polymer of formula (M)n; M : hydrophobic monomer unit; and n : 2-20. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Composition: The dispersion has a group (R):mineral particle molar ratio of >=0.2, and a polymer:solvent molar ratio of >=0.005. Preferred Components: The polymer is expressed in a formula R-A-T-B1. The polymer comprises additional group R1 to develop interactions with the surface of the mineral particles and the polymer with R1 is expressed in a formula (R-A1)(R1-A2)A3-T-B1. The polymer has a molecular weight of less than 5000 g/mol, preferably 500-2000 g/mol. (T) is an oligomer of a polymerization degree less than 20. The polymer is a telomere. The polymers are obtained by a radical polymerization of an unsaturated ethylene monomer, a free radical source, and a transferring agent of (T) in which the non-polymer terminal group (B1) not involved in the chain transfer, and a carrier of the group (R). The transferring agent is a thiol comprising the group (R). The polymer is obtained by the radical polymerization of a polymer of formula R-A1-S-T-H to give R-A1-SH. The polymer comprises cationic telomere of formula R1R2R3N+>-A-S-T- H or R1R2N-A -S-T-H or anionic telomere i.e. when the particles have a negatively charged surface then a whole/part of the group (R) are cationic groups e.g. ammonium or amino groups in a quaternized state, or groups that develop complexing bonds with the surface of the particles e.g. amino groups, or when the particles have a positively charged surface, then a whole/part of the group (R) are anionic groups e.g. sulfate, sulfonate, phosphonate phosphate, phosphonic acid, carboxylic acid or carboxylate group (both preferred). #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# Telomere of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and mercaptoacetic acid (1.46 g) and butyl acetate (50 ml) were agitated with cerium oxide particles (20g/l; 5 nm in hydrodynamic diameter) at 60[deg]C for 6 hours to give an aqueous sol. The sol was worked up to give the organosol.</p>
