<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has fixed and mobile pieces (1, 2), and a driving mechanism to drive the mobile piece. The driving mechanism has screws (10, 40) driven by a set of pinions (60) that are moved by a crank (7). A compensating mechanism has a tilting jaw (80), and two nuts (20, 30) mounted on the screws. The nuts are displaced simultaneously under an action of the screws, and displace the mobile piece towards the fixed piece for clamping a workpiece (P) to be machined. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Vise-type balanced workpiece-clamping device for being fixed on a machine tool such as grinding machine and wire spark erosion machine, for clamping a workpiece to be machined. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The compensating mechanism permits to clamp the workpiece in a precise, reproducible and independent manner, while reducing the deformations caused by clamping pressure.
