METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC TURNING TELEVISION SCREEN

A method for automatically rotating a television screen is provided to detect a correct position of a TV viewer to rotate the TV screen to the best position. A first receiver for receiving a first radio signal is prepared. A second receiver including two receiving terminals for receiving a second radio signal having a propagation speed slower than that of the first radio signal is prepared. The first and second radio signals which are simultaneously radiated from a remote controller to the first and second receivers and include the same control command are received. A difference between a time required for the first radio signal to arrive at the first receiver and a time required for the second radio signal to arrive at the two receiving terminals of the second receiver is calculated. The difference is multiplied by the speed of the second radio signal to calculate distances(450a,450b) between the remote controller and the two receiving terminals. A rotating angle(480) of a television receiver is calculated using a trigonometric function related to the width of a triangle having the points(410,420a,420b) at which the two receiving terminals and the remote controller are located as vertexes. The television receiver is rotated by the calculated rotating angle.
