Process comprises (i) concentrating soln. or suspension by known methods (e.g. to 30% solid content); (ii) solidifying by mixing with synthetic substance initially soluble in or swollen by water (e.g.) polymerised alcohols esp. polyvinyl alcohol) to form sticky homogeneous body; (iii) reducing body to 50% of its volume by drying at 25-150 degrees C.
