PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor system which obtains sufficient drive force and certainly floating-mounting a motor to a lower part of a vehicle spring. SOLUTION: The electric motor 10 and a deceleration gear mechanism 11 are connected by a flexible coupling 12, and a motor case 10a of the electric motor 10 is mounted to a motor mounting member 4m arranged on a strut 4 for suspending a knuckle 5, i.e., a vehicle unsprung part to a vehicle body from its upper part side through a shock-absorbing mechanism 20 provided with a spring member 21, a damper and a guide member 23 for guiding an operation direction of the spring member 21 and the damper.
