PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce standby electricity, while securing normal operations of optional parts in connecting the optional parts needing power supply from an air conditioner, under standby while operation of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner, comprising a power source device for forming a power source circuit 12 for driving apparatus, produced from an AC power source 1 and a constant-voltage circuit 13 for a control portion, produced from the power source circuit 12, an output voltage variable means 22 for varying the output voltage of the power source circuit 12, and a control portion 14 determining whether a operation standby state, and lowering the output voltage of the power source circuit 12 via the DC voltage variable means 22, when it is decided as being in operation standby state is determined, for making the power consumption reduced, the control portion 14 will not lower the output voltage of the power source circuit 12 even during the operation standby, when the optional parts 2 that carry out operation by the power fed from the air conditioner are connected.
