PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifier apparatus to be mounted on a satellite capable of using an inexpensive switching member that has more excellent durability and higher reliability than those of a mechanical switch for switching a high power output circuit. SOLUTION: An output signal from an active amplifier 54 or a standby amplifier 55 in an active state (ON state) is input to a splitter/combiner circuit 63 via a band pass filter 61 or 62. The splitter/combiner circuit 63 splits an input signal from the amplifier in the active state and provides outputs. Since one of the active amplifier 54 and the standby amplifier 55 is ordinarily active, the splitter/combiner circuit 63 acts like the switching member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
