An electro-erosion device (1; 30) comprising a guiding body (5) with a drilled hole (12; 42) for guiding an erosion wire (17) onto a workpiece from which material can be removed by spark discharge when a voltage is applied between the workpiece and (17), and at least one flushing channel (25; 38; 38'; 38") for injecting flushing liquid (FL) into the gap between the workpiece and (5), in which these channel(s) (25 etc.) are wound round the wire (17) in a spiral. An independent claim is included for a method for electro-erosion with a device as described above which also has at least one metering valve (40, 40', 40") for supplying liquid (FL) to the channels, and in which the FL is directed into the channels (25, etc.) by these valves (40 etc.) according to the operating status of the device (1; 30).
