A cosmetic composition comprising an extract of red bean is provided to show excellent slimming effect with increased stability without irritation even though it is applied for a long period of time. The cosmetic composition with slimming effect comprises 0.1-10 wt.% of an extract of red bean, which is prepared by cold-dipping the red bean in at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of purified water, ethanol, propanol, butanol, glycerol, propylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, benzene, hexane, diethyl ether and dichloromethane, filtering the solvent by evaporation, concentrating and freeze-drying it.
