A process for preparing mono-dispersed barium titanate fine particles is provided to produce the fine particles with improved mono-dispersion and to inhibit further nucleus formation after completing particle growth of the particle having average diameter less than 1 micrometer by growing barium titanate fine particle nucleus in emulsion type solution containing octanol and acetone. The process comprises the steps of: preparing octanol solution by dissolving 0.35-0.80mol/L of barium titanium alkoxide in 35-70vol.% of octanol; preparing an emulsion by adding 20-55vol.% of acetone to the octanol solution to obtain total 90vol.% of solvent, and agitating the solution to form the emulsion; and dissolving 0.25-0.65mol/L of water in 10vol.% of propanol to form solution and mixing the solution with the previously prepared emulsion; and generating barium titanate fine particles from the mixture solution and growing the fine particles while stirring the solution.
