The sheet (1) is for swaddling babies and comprises main sheet with an inside and an outside, a middle part (2), first and second parts (3,4). The two side parts are foldable over each other and over the middle part, forming an accommodation part for a baby. At the front of the mainsheet on the inside, at a distance from the first side part is a fixed lying part which is releasably attached to the outside of the first side part at least partly to enclose a baby. The second side part is fixed releasably to the outside of the first side part or the middle part.
