<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which does not spoil flatness of an alignment film layer formed on a colored layer even when forming no protection layer on the colored layer, which hardly produces film peeling by a rubbing step of the alignment film and which shows excellent display characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter has a transparent substrate, a black matrix which is provided on the transparent substrate and has an opening and a plurality of colored layers which are provided at the opening and constitute a color pixel. An end part of the black matrix and an end part of the colored layer come into contact with each other or are laminated and a relation of film thickness: ¾(film thickness of the colored layer)-(film thickness of the black matrix)¾≤0.1μm is satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
