PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device for an automatic transmission of a vehicle capable of suppressing deterioration of fuel consumption by reducing consumption of operating oil. SOLUTION: As this hydraulic control device has cutoff valves 100-110 and solenoid valves S1-S6 as cutoff devices for cutting off the supply of original pressure to linear solenoid valves SL1-SL6 disposed corresponding to hydraulic frictional engagement devices not needing engagement among clutch C1-C4 and brakes B1, B2, when a shift position of the automatic transmission 10 is switched from a non-traveling position to a traveling position, a discharge quantity of a hydraulic pump 48 can be minimized without increasing a consumption flow rate of operating oil. As a result, the hydraulic control device for the automatic transmission of the vehicle capable of using a comparatively compact hydraulic pump 48, reducing the consumption of operation oil while securing responsiveness, and inhibiting deterioration of fuel consumption can be provided.
