PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing means for an ink-jet recording device, which removes stagnant air generated by gas dissolved in an channel ink on a filter upstream side in a recording head or gas permeated from outside to inside of a tube, when circulation recovery is repeatedly carried out in a circulation recovering method in the same direction as an ink feeding direction by pressure circulation. SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording device is composed of a detecting member 506 for detecting bubbles stagnant in an ink channel in the recording head 501, and the removing means 505 for removing the bubbles after detection of the bubbles and reversely pressurizing the ink, based on a result of the detection. In this manner, even if circulation recovery by the pressure circulation is repeatedly carried out a plurality of times, stagnation of air in a filter 502 in the recording head is minimized and stabilized, and therefore the reliability in image formation is improved.
