摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rigid heat exchanger designed so that a manifold can be connected with an end part of heat transfer tubes in a stable and accurate manner. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a heat exchanger including a cooling core comprising a plurality of parallel heat transfer tubes 5 and two manifolds 1 each having a slot 4, the heat transfer tube 5 being inserted with its end portion fluid-connected with each manifold, and each slot 4 being partitioned by parallel-extending slot walls defined by deformed wall surfaces of the manifold and a slot opening part 7. The outside of the slot 4 is deformed inwardly to the manifold wall, whereby a recessed part 2 is formed on the outer surface of the manifold, and the inside of the slot 4 is deformed inwardly to the manifold wall, whereby a protruding part 3 is formed on the inner surface of the manifold. The protruding part 3 includes a groove forming the slot walls for receiving at least a part of the longitudinally extending edge at the end portion of the heat transfer tube 5.
