PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent material, a fluorescent paste, and a fluorescent film capable of providing a plasma display panel (PDP) with a low discharge voltage; and a PDP formed by them. SOLUTION: The fluorescent material for use in PDP contains a phosphor, and a substance which generates or discharges H2O under the circumstance where the PDP is driven. The substance is boehmite and/or gibbsite which generates or discharges H2O after the substance is baked to form a fluorescent film. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
