PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic which can overcome the defects of conventional hair cosmetics, especially has an excellent conditioning property to physically or chemically damaged hairs, prevents the itching and inflammation of skins, and can reduce the employment of preservatives such as paraben. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic comprises (A) a highly polymerized dimethylpolysiloxane represented by the general formula (1) [(n) is≥650], (B) a cationic surfactant, (C) a 12-24C higher alcohol, and (D) a 1,2-alkanediol.
