PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a stable image over a long period while having uniform high luster over the whole image surface such as a silver salt photograph. SOLUTION: This image forming device has an image forming engine 2 forming an unfixed toner image on a recording material 1, a fixing unit 3 having a heating fixing member 4 contacting with an unfixed toner image carrying surface and fixing the unfixed toner image on the recording material 1 by heating and pressurization on the downstream side of the image forming engine 2, and a cleaning unit 5 removing a sticking object of a recording material 1 surface on the upstream side of the image forming engine. The fixing unit 3 has a rubber layer mainly composed of fluorocarbon siloxane on a surface of the heating fixing member 4. The cleaning unit 5 has a cleaning member 6 cleaning the sticking object on at least a toner image carrying surface of the recording material 1. This cleaning member 6 has an elastic layer 6a including no polydimethyl siloxane on at least a surface and having JIS-A hardness of 40 degrees or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
