STRIKING DEVICE FOR PAPER STAPLE

A striking device is arranged above a receiving base on which a stack of sheets of paper is mounted, in order to strike a U shaped paper staple to a stack of sheets of paper. The striking device includes a horizontal portion, a pair of leg portions each projecting in a vertical direction from respective ends of the horizontal portion, and a pair of projected portions each provided on respective inner faces of the pair of leg portions so as to face each other. A pair of blade portions is formed on respective ends of the pair of leg portions, and a first leg and a second leg of the paper staple are mounted on the pair of projected portions.
