<p>A water-soluble agricultural chemical having insecticidal activity is applied in such a manner that the effect of the agricultural chemical is further heightened, whereby insect pests are inhibited from getting resistance and the necessity of gradually increasing the concentration in which the agricultural chemical is used is eliminated. Thus, the cost of agriculture is reduced and the danger to workers is lessened. Furthermore, the burden to be imposed on the environment is lessened. An agricultural-chemical aid which comprises, in terms of volume amount, 100 parts of ethyl acetate, 130-250 parts of acetic acid (in terms of the amount of glacial acetic acid), and 6-50 parts of ethanol (in terms of the amount of the anhydrous alcohol) is added to and mixed with a water-soluble agricultural chemical diluted with water 1,000- to 2,000-fold, so that the proportion of the active ingredients of the agricultural-chemical aid to the active ingredient of the agricultural chemical is 100:(4-8) by weight.
