摘要 <p>For gradation voltages of about one half the gradation number to be gradation-displayed, gradation reference voltage are generated, and a voltage selected from the gradation reference voltages is applied to a liquid crystal pixel thereby to perform a gradation display. For the gradation voltages of the remaining about one half, two voltages are selected from the gradation reference voltages and are consecutively applied to the liquid crystal pixels thereby to perform the gradation display with an intermediate voltage. A gradation voltage generating circuit applies an arbitrary first one of the gradation reference voltages of the number less than the gradation number to the liquid crystal pixel for a predetermined time period, and subsequently applies an arbitrary second one belonging to the gradation reference voltages and different from the first voltage to that liquid crystal pixel thereby to display the gradation decided when a voltage between the first voltage and the second voltage is applied. The gradation voltage generating circuit is equipped, between a gradation voltage generating unit and a driver circuit, with a first switch circuit to be connected with the ground potential.</p>
