<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide video equipment and a video processing method capable of preventing missing of a video signal resulting from sampling, even in using common data to process video signals for each vertical resolutions of the video signals. <P>SOLUTION: A synchronizing signal detection unit 20 reports the total number of vertical lines, a horizontal synchronizing frequency, and a vertical synchronization width to a CPU 30. The CPU 30 reads data corresponding to the vertical resolution of a video signal out of a data storage unit 40 according to the total number of vertical lines and horizontal synchronizing frequency, and sets the number of times of sampling in an A/D converting unit 50 and a horizontal/vertical resolution rate in a horizontal/vertical resolution converting unit 61. Further, the horizontal resolution of the video signal is derived based upon the vertical synchronization width and the number of times of sampling of the A/D converting unit 50 is varied so as to sample the video signal with the horizontal resolution. Furthermore, a horizontal resolution conversion rate of a horizontal resolution converting unit 63 is derived and set based upon the vertical synchronization width so as to store the video signal in the video memory 62 with a horizontal/vertical storage width stored in the data storage unit 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
