<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film composition for seamless soft capsules composed of a vegetable base, having good solubility in water, improved strength at low temperatures and low humidities and excellent heat resistance and hardly deforming or sticking (connected spheres). <P>SOLUTION: The coating film composition for the seamless soft capsules is obtained by using dextrin and agar as the vegetable base and using carrageenan as a gelling agent mixed with the base. The amount of the dextrin formulated is ≤11% pts.wt. in the stage of a film liquid before drying and the amount of the agar formulated is 0.5-1.5% pts.wt. in the stage of the film liquid before drying.
