<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent made of a superelastic alloy which is fully and easily bent in a longitudinal direction and has sufficient resistance against force to contract the stent in a radial direction. <P>SOLUTION: The cross-sectional area X2 of struts constituting a second part, which permits the longitudinal bending, is made to be 1/10 to 1/2 of the cross-sectional area X1 of the struts constituting a first part, which is freely expansible in the radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
