PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form of an ink tank capable of reducing the difference in temperature change, which brings about the concentration difference of the stored ink, among each ink storage chambers. SOLUTION: The ink tank 107 has ink storage chambers A101, B102 communicating with each other via an ink passage 104. A heat insulating material 103 is attached to the surrounding of the ink storage chamber A101 of the ink tank 107 so as not to cause the difference in the temperature change within each storage chamber, when the tank 107 is continuously placed in an environment below the freezing point.
