PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch exchange system which prepares a virtual button which is a virtual number of a DI (Direct Inward Dialling) and a monitor button corresponding to the virtual number, and can simultaneously perform voice monitoring of a plurality of lines from an extension terminal. SOLUTION: The system comprises a main control device 4, which makes terminating calls which are terminated to office line circuits PRIa to PRIj show terminating indication on virtual buttons of a plurality number of conversation board 6a to 6n, and notifies them, if the virtual button of terminating call indication is pressed, the device makes the conversation board 6a pressing the virtual button answer the terminating call, and become speech condition, if a virtual button and a monitor button of a conversation board 6n except the conversation condition is pressed, the device makes a speech path Pb between the office line circuit PRIa in the speech condition and a line circuit for monitoring LINa corresponding to a pressed monitor button through a speech path switch 3, and performs execution control of voice monitoring of the speech.
