PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentifrice composition having a good feeling of use, good foaming properties and high stain removing effects on teeth without a sense of incompatibility in the oral cavity during or after the use of the dentifrice. SOLUTION: The dentifrice composition is obtained by formulating (A) 0.3-1.5 mass% of a water-soluble pyrophosphate with (B) 0.3-1.5 mass% of lauryl sulfate and (C) hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose having≥1,000 mm<SP>2</SP>/s kinematic viscosity of a 2% aqueous solution at 20°C.
