PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel of a fourth generation structure ensuring durability over a long period of time by making it light weight and compact and increasing strength of a calking part. SOLUTION: In the bearing device for the vehicle an outer coupling member is fixed to a hub wheel 1 in an axial direction by the calking part formed by plastically deforming an end of a shaft part 20 of the outer coupling member 14 to an outside in a radial direction. A predetermined cured layer 12 by induction hardening of a serration 1c of the hub wheel 1 and a predetermined twisted angle relative to an axis is provided on a serration 20c of the shaft part 20. A part of an outer side is maintained to the raw state of non-hardening and the calking part 22 is formed on an opening end surface 21 of the hub wheel 1 by rocking die calking and is projected to an outer side more than a pilot part 23. Thereby, the calking part 22 can be made of a large diameter, stress generation on a base part can be relaxed and rattling in a rotation direction is suppressed to enhance traveling stability of the vehicle.
