PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a multiplex bus monitor which can detect faulty bus and communication station without relying upon the diagnostic period of the station. SOLUTION: In the multiplex bus supervisory system connected with multiplex buses and monitoring fault of the bus and communication station by mutually receiving diagnostic communication information transmitted from a plurality of communication stations communicating with each other, each communication station comprises a reception processing means provided in correspondence with the bus and clearing a reception check counter corresponding to its own bus by receiving the diagnostic communication information from each bus and then incrementing or decrementing a reception check counter corresponding to other bus, and a means for determining fault of bus when the count of the reception check counter becomes larger or smaller than a predetermined value.
