PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus of excellent characteristics such as durability and high precision by using an insulating substrate of the printed wiring board which has a high elastic modulus and mechanical strength, and causes no distortion due to thermal history or defective connection. SOLUTION: A projection display apparatus for a large screen display comprises a drive circuit mounted on a printed wiring board or an optical modulator connected to the drive circuit through the printed wiring board.
